It was an early morning—probably? I'd long since lost track of Earth time and indeed any sense of it at all on this strange planet of seemingly eternal twilight. I only knew that now was the time to get going for a long day of work in the mines, finding all the materials — rare on Earth — that seemed to litter this place. The distant glow of the factory lights was strangely warm and inviting, beckoning me to come in, remove my thick suit and sit behind the screens and controls, coffee to my left, and joystick in my right hand; ready to start drilling into the "earth." As I walked along the barren, rocky ground, the sound of a banjo player — at first distant — grew louder until it drowned out the background noise of pistons and drills pounding and ripping up the rock. I saw him, or perhaps her, with a visor reflecting the stars and the Astra Nebula, blocking out their face. He, or she was sitting on a pile of discarded rock left over from an operation from many years ago. It had formed

They stayed at home.
They put down their signs for there was peace at last. There was nothing left to protest, The world was now perfect. The police did not need to from an assembly outside the gates of the summit, because nobody disagreed with them. The world united in one goal, and all followed the Great Leader. They worshipped him. At last, All of the people were pleased... all of the time.
Spider! Spider! Very small, sitting on my bedroom wall! Take a shoe, squash him flat, leave behind a great big splat! But when I lift my shoe to see, Spider! Spider! Where is he? The little rascal ran away, The spider lives another day! He's standing on my ceiling now, upside-down, I wonder how? He's eating all the bugs that crawl, Perhaps I'll keep him after all!
America has one, Russia has one. Egypt, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan all have one. Even India, Indonesia, China and Pakistan have one. Why can't we? We can. I dream of the day that we could hold our children in our arms as they look in starry-eyed wonder at the blazing machine powering its way through the atmosphere and finally say, "we built that; it's ours!"
I'm a Diploducus, and I'm real tall Compared to me, the whole world looks small. I'm bigger than a bus, bigger than a train, I'm bigger even, than an aeroplane! I have a long neck and a long tail too. Everything seems so tiny from my point of view. T-Rex might think that he is the King, but I'm much bigger than him, so I'll take that ring. I might appear mean at your very first glance, But I'm a gentle giant, for I only eat plants. "Where can I find you?" You might just think, Only in a museum now, for I've gone extinct!
Listen child! For I'll tell a tall tale, Although it might sound funny, Just hop in my boat and we'll set sail To a land of chocolates, sweets and honey. The journey's long but full of charms, And though you'll grow tired and weak, I'll hold you close, in my arms, and deliver sweet kisses upon your cheeks. Listen child! To the tips of the trees, You can hear it straight ahead, Where the bugs and butterflies and bumble bees Fly away to their homes and go to bed. Hush my child! Don't make a sound! Don't say a single peep! For the world will be your little playground Just as soon as you fall asleep...

To My Internet Pen-Pal:
I remember when we played that game, with all the happiness we could share, when everything was just the same, and childish laughter filled the air. Our parents couldn't understand, because they only played with sticks and stones, but we moved mountains in our land, and sat like kings upon our thrones. Our friendship was a mystery for I never saw your real face, but together we made history, in a virtual world in cyberspace. Oh! I curse the day we drifted apart, I wish we never had to grow! Your silence is pain to my still kinder-ed heart... "Last online: 9 Years ago"
I stood before the powerful beast in glowing yellow-green. That hideous, horrible serpent thing was like no sight I’d ever seen. I threw the capture pod straight and true, it whistled through the air. It rolled a little, but the thing broke free. I lost the first shot, I guess that’s fair… The beast attacked! I dodged the hit then fought back harder, and weakened it! Longing for the victory chime I took the battle to its prime. The pod rolled right and left then BANG! Aww dang! I nearly had it that time! I looked into my bag in horror, My supplies were getting ever thinner... But my quest will have to wait for now, ‘cause mum says that it’s time for dinner...
I am what I am
Because what I am
Is what I'm not.
I am what I'm not
Because what I am not
Is what I am.
I am not what I'm not
Because what I am not
Is not what I am.
I am not.
Rain, rain go away!
It's summertime you know?
I should be playing in the sun,
Not sitting bored at home!
Oh I can't believe my luck,
the world is oh so cruel!
I'm so bored I'd even consider,
going back to school!
I've played on my computer,
I've finished all the games,
but now I want to go outside
and play on the climbing frames.
Rain, rain go away!
it seems that you have won,
I might as well just go to bed
and declare that this day's done!

Homework, Moanwork!
No more sunny day!
Sitting at the window
Wishing I could play!
Homework, Moanwork!
What am I to do?
I know! I'll tell my mother
That I just caught the flu!
Homework, Moanwork!
That she won't believe.
I quickly need to find another
trick up my sleeve...
Homework, Moanwork!
It's such an awful bore!
I've got to think of something, quick
Before she shuts the door!
Homework, Moanwork!
I had my chance, I blew it!
I just couldn't think of a good excuse
So I guess I'll have to do it... :(
I once knew a world
of playtime and fun,
Of sandcastles and swimming
and endless summer sun.
A world with no burdens
to worry about,
A world where you could laugh and
scream and jump and shout.
Cuddles and kisses,
Being tucked into bed
with a story and lullaby,
For a new day ahead.
They say that the future
will make us all stronger,
But I just wish that childhood
could have lasted longer.
A Small Child I was a small child, born into a cruel world. I was a small child, that had to grow up very fast. I had to be the strong one, with many secrets left unspoken. A small child I once was, that witnessed everything All before I turned 18. I was once a small child, scared and hid from the world. I had to hide behind this smile, where everyone saw me happy. I was a small child, who was physically abused, neglected, sexually abused... and emotionally abused, It destroyed the family, and tore my self esteem apart. I hid the pain behind this mask, nobody knew our little secret. I was once a small child, feeling alone in this world. I had no place to call home, Why did my life get this way? Crying in my room every night, so they wouldn't see me as weak. Waiting for this all to end, just to wake up and it started all over again. I was once a small child, born into this destructive world. Now that I am an adult, I am trying to break free from this burden.
